Women's clothing in the Tang Dynasty

Most of them wear narrow sleeves on the top, long skirts on the bottom, a tape at the waist, and a long scarf on the shoulders. Narrow sleeves reach the wrist. The coat is short only to the waist. In the frescoes of the Tang Dynasty, women wear narrow-sleeved shirts. The body is long in silk and a long skirt. This kind of clothing with extremely short tops and long lower skirts can show a sense of proportional rhythm and beauty of body, which shows the graceful demeanor of women in the Tang Dynasty.
In the Tang Dynasty, a topless shirt with big sleeves was also popular. It is a costume often worn by noble women when walking in the courtyard, admiring flowers, catching butterflies, and playing with dogs. To expose the upper part of the chest, large sleeves, folds, long skirts, shoulder drapes, and embroidered texts are decorated. The waist of the skirt is high above the breasts and tied with a big belt, boldly exaggerating the women's legs, with short tops and long bottoms. The fabrics are mostly leno products. The so-called "Qi Luo silk sees skin", this is another major feature of women's clothing in the Tang Dynasty. Covering the body with only light gauze, this attire is closely related to the open mind at the time.
Women in the Song Dynasty also wore gauze and blouses, but in terms of the way they wore them and the degree of transparency, they could not be compared to the Tang Dynasty. Women's skirts in the Sui and Tang Dynasties were high waists and half-carved, and the exposed skirts could drag the floor. And the shape is thin. From the frescoes of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, you can see the slim and beautiful images of Sui and Tang women wearing shirts and long skirts. The colors of the skirts range from scarlet, purple, yellow, and blue to the most popular. When it was Tang Xianzong's concubine Yang Guifei's favorite yellow skirt, this skirt is dyed with tulip grass, the color is like a flower, especially bright, not afraid of the sun, and can emit a fragrant fragrance. This kind of yellow dress gradually became popular in Gong Bin concubine and the prince's house in the family of benevolent officials. The poet Li Shangyin of the Tang Dynasty said: "Ben the waist and dance with turmeric skirts." It illustrates this point. Women's clothing in the Song Dynasty is more complicated. This is also the commonality of clothing development from ancient times to the present. At that time, many costumes were ingenious and varied, presenting a pomp of contention among a hundred schools of thought. Later, the government had to order that women's clothes should obey the colors of their husbands, and women in ordinary families were not allowed to wear five-color floral dresses made of silk. But at that time, people didn't abide by this rule very much, and the trend of fashion prosperity continued unabated.
